Molly Tyroler to Present on Addressing Implicit Bias in Case Handling

2020 Workers’ Compensation Institute: Addressing Implicit Bias in Workers’ Compensation Practice

Molly Tyroler has been asked to present at the 2020 Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Institute on addressing implicit bias in our case handling. Ms. Tyroler is joined by Ryan Virden, experienced DEI consultant, organizational leader, and educator dedicated to developing and executing systems that facilitate positive, healthy and equitable environments.

Together they will cover what implicit bias is and its tremendous impact on decision making by evaluating the barriers it creates to proper case evaluation, strategy or resolution. This CLE will explore the concept of implicit bias and look specifically at how it affects both the process and the outcome of workers’ compensation claims. Molly and Ryan will provide information on how to challenge implicit bias to become more effective lawyers, mediators and judges.
